On board, the Marseille sailor Pierre Satien, son of Othon and Jeanne Sève, born April 16, 1862, fell into the sea and was swept away by a wave. His body was never found. A judgment of the Civil Court of Marseilles in public hearing of July 31, 1890 recognized the death.
